Surgical Oncology Journal publishes articles on surgical oncology and related topics such as epidemiology, cancer research, biomarkers, prevention, pathology, radiology, cancer treatment, clinical trials, multimodality treatment, and molecular biology. The focus is on the original articles of science. The journal also publishes important case reports on selected topics, as well as balanced and timely reviews.
Oncology is a multidisciplinary super-speciality of which, particularly with solid tumours, surgical oncology forms an integral component. Surgical oncologists around the world are involved in research that ranges from the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of the processes underlying the cause of cancer. A surgical oncologist’s function extends throughout the entire care continuum. With ongoing diagnostic and treatment advances, a surgical oncologist’s position is constantly changing. Therefore, the World Journal of Surgical Oncology aims to keep readers up-to-date with the latest trends that eventually will influence surgical oncologists work.
Peer-review policy
This Journal uses double blinded peer review process and publish high quality articles under different categories including original research articles, review articles, case reports, short communications, perspectives, editorials, letter to the editor, etc. The Journal editorial board members carry out the peer review process and other eminent experts provided the article is approved by at least two or more independent reviewers followed by the editor’s approval for final acceptance.
Published articles are freely accessible worldwide and can be viewed or downloaded without the consent of the author, but the copyright is retained. Articles are distributed under the Creative Commons License.
